  [1]  Greetings.
==================================================================
Hi All:

I hope our U.S. members had a nice Labor Day weekend, and that those in
the path of the hurricanes were safe and sound. This seems to be a bad
hurricane season with another in the works. It hurts our personally lives
and business - WalMart closed a number of stores in Florida after the last one.

Today we have a query from a list member who wants to know about WalMart's
policies with doing business with them. Anybody have experience?

And Our favorite Bermudian member offers some excellent resources on
offshore incorporations in Bermuda.

For the next two weeks, I will be travelling and sure could use some
special reports. I will be at a conference in Las Vegas this week, and in
London next week on business. So, if anybody has something of interest to
list members, please pass it on and we will publish it and it will remain
for posterity at our Special Reports site
http://etailersdigest.com/resources/Specials/index.htm  The article should
be 1,500 to 2,000 words on anything to do with retailing/etailing.

Today we have some information on "Color of Horses." Tell us about your
business which will remain for posterity at our "Members: Who Are You?"
site. http://etailersdigest.com/resources/members/index.htm And we have a
form there for you to tell us about you. As I said when I first proposed
this idea, we have "known" each other for a long time, yet we often don't
know anything about each other. So, tell us who you are and what you do.

Now, let's get to everything for the retailer.

Sincerely

  [2]  Wal-Mart Policies
==================================================================
I was wondering if you might know anything about Wal-Mart policies on
paying vendors - vendors who supply them with goods and services for
store-use, not for resale. (eg: computers that they'd use in their own
offices in each store or something like that.)

What I'm trying to find out is what their typical payment time is, (30
days, 60, 90, or worse?). Also whether vendors who aren't selling goods for
resale have to tie into any type of EDP system.

  [3] Where to Incorporate: Offshore? Delaware? Nevada? Home?
==================================================================
Of course, the best place to incorporate is Bermuda! There are some web
sites that can be visited to get some idea of what Bermuda incorporations
are all about. http://www.bermuda-online.org/intbiz.htm This explains
various aspects of having an 'exempted' business here.

http://www.bermuda-online.org/intcoys.htm gives you a list of most of the
companies (non local) which have chosen Bermuda as their domicile of choice.

Once you have decided you want to incorporate here, you can even do it
online at http://www.justaskinc.bm/ (this is the web site of a local law
firm) although it would be much more pleasant to come down and do it
personally between trips to the beach.

The first few pages of a Google search for 'incorporate' and 'Bermuda'
should answer most questions. If any of your readers have specific
questions about Bermuda they can contact me direct. All my contact
information is on your Members page.

Best regards

Thanks Richard. I agree wholeheartedly. Bermuda is a great place to live
and work.

Since this is a topical issue I decided to redo a special I did in 2001 on
incorporating a business offshore for one of the days when I am travelling.

  [4]  Color of Horses
==================================================================
Color of Horses offers unique and colorful gifts, games, jewelry and
wearable art for young horse lovers.

We look for products that respect the environment and we support other
small businesses. We focus on durable, lasting products that celebrate
horses. We guarantee excellent customer service - when you contact us,
you'll get a human, not a number.

My husband and I are parents and horse-owners. We couldn't find
value-priced horse-themed gifts for kids so we opened an online catalog in
October, 2003.

We offer a monthly e-newsletter, we advertise in Blaze Kids Magazine and
work on reciprocal linking.

You can find us online at: http://www.colorofhorses.com. We also have an
online schedule of trade and gift markets we plan to attend.
