[1] Greetings.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hi All:
For those of us who copy and paste our passwords or bank account
numbers, stop doing it. Today we have a security alert and it is
very scary! You can lose your password.
John Schulte tells us that the National Mail Order Association is
setting up a new direct marketing company that will be exclusively
selling products made in America and they are looking for products to sell.
Are you an Ubersexual? Learn all about it with the post from list
member Jan Owens.
What are you doing for the holidays? Are you lining up a strategy as
to how you will be increasing business this year? Let us know.
Now, let's get to everything for the retailer.
Sincerely
George Matyjewicz, PhD

[2] Security Alert - Clipboard
----------------------------------------------------------------
It is so easy to copy and paste information, and many of us do it to
save keystrokes. Now we learn that if you ever copy a password, bank
account number, credit card, or other sensitive information to your
windows clipboard you may be putting yourself at risk!
With just a single line of JavaScript, a malicious website can grab
the info that's on your Windows Clipboard. And JavaScript isn't the
only way - several other languages can be made to do similar things.
Don't believe it? Copy a line or two of text from this article - or
anywhere else. Once you have it, just click the link below to see if
your clipboard info can be stolen: http://www.worldstart.com/clipboardtest/
I was shocked to see how easy it is to obtain information. Ever
wonder how they get the city you live in or your name when you visit
a site. They may be peeking at your computer! If you copy and paste
our passwords or bank account numbers, stop doing it!

The National Mail Order Association is setting up a new direct
marketing company that will be exclusively selling products made in
America. We are now in our pre-launch product search. Anyone that
has, or knows of a good product made in America should contact me directly.
We are also looking for products that could be sold at Sam's Clubs.
Initially we will be selling on-line then, if we experience any
success we will add a catalog, and perhaps even television.
We will be just like a regular retailer, we pay wholesale and sell retail.
We don't have a book category, but that is about the only thing I can
think of that would not be included right from the start. So no,
there is no real limitation on the type of products.
Thank you.

[4] Ubersexuals
----------------------------------------------------------------
Two interesting articles from Monday's New York Times:
1. A new trend name is coined: ubersexuals. This is in contrast to
metrosexuals, coined a few years ago, about men who were as heavily
into grooming and style as fastidious females. More and more
marketers realize that this never sat well with many men. However,
to be the "new males" was to dress between, but retain all things we
love enlightened males for, i.e. fairness, strength, dignity,
intelligence, etc. and etc. (For that matter, what we like about
females, but perhaps we bench press at a lower level.) Prime
ubersexuals are identified as Bono, Bill Clinton, and George
Clooney. Personally, I'd throw in Tony Blair, but that's me. The
Book that is references is The Future of Men, by Marian Salzman, Ira
Matathia and Ann O'Reilly.

2. With gas prices such as they are, REI's online sales have really
jumped. First, people avoid driving long distances. Second,
bicycle-related sales are up.

week of publication. Free online registration is required.
